Compost Program
We are implementing a community-wide compost program with local restaurants and cafes. From this waste, we creat wonderful soil and we feed our animals.
The program aims to divert waste from the landfill, explore how to make value from resources that are typically discarded, and educate the community on composting.

How much compost we divert
On an average week, we divert 729 lbs from the landfill to our program. This adds up to 17.2 metric tons per year. Over the course of the three years that this program has operated, we have diverted 51.6 metric tons of waste from the landfill.
